ICS Electronic Belt Scale
The ICS electronic belt scale continuously weighs bulk material on a conveyor belt. It provides real-time weight and flow rate for process control and totalizing. Installed after the feed point, it sits before discharge, integral to the conveying circuit.
Technical parameters
The scale sends weight pulses and analog signals to the plant PLC or DCS. This enables feed rate adjustment, batch control and load-out monitoring. Mass flow data supports metallurgical accounting and reagent dosing.
The ICS range spans multiple belt widths, from narrow conveyors for reagent feeders to wide belts in main ore transport. As belt width increases, load capacity, frame dimensions and installed power scale accordingly. Match the scale model to the conveyor belt width and expected maximum loading to ensure accurate measurement without mechanical overstress.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before selecting a model, confirm the conveyor belt width, idler spacing and trough angle. Define the full-scale capacity in tonnes per hour and the material bulk density. Establish the required accuracy class and whether the scale will serve custody transfer or internal process control. Also specify the ambient temperature range, dust level and the plant communication protocol.
