A disc feeder delivers fine ore from a storage bin at a controlled volumetric rate. Its driven rotating disc, feed hopper and adjustable gate set the discharge. Speed variation tailors feed to demand.

Technical parameters

Installed beneath a bin, the disc feeder bridges storage and downstream transport. It commonly supplies conveyor belts, mill inlets or mixing devices. Gentle discharge suits friable ores prone to degradation in vibratory feeders.

The DK series progresses stepwise through increasing disc diameters and corresponding drive power. Larger discs accept coarser feed and yield higher volumetric outputs, while smaller units suit tight layouts and low-tonnage duties. Before selecting a disc feeder, confirm the maximum particle size, bulk density and moisture content of the feed. Establish the required feed rate range and the hopper opening geometry.
