Thickening Equipment
Thickening recovers process water and produces a dense underflow for tailings or further treatment. The equipment uses gravity settling to separate solids from liquid, raising solid concentration while returning clear overflow to the circuit.

What decides the selection
Start with settling testwork to define solids flux and the necessary flocculant regime for target underflow density and overflow clarity. Feed density and tailings rheology then set the rake torque and tank diameter. The interplay of these variables determines thickener type, drive size, and settling area.
