Filtration Equipment
Filtration equipment follows the thickener in a dewatering circuit. It produces a filter cake for transport or disposal and recovers process water. The machines handle concentrates, tailings and sludge.
Equipment in this category
The right choice depends on particle size, filterability, throughput, and target moisture. Testwork is essential because the same model can behave very differently on two slurries.
Vacuum disc and drum filters serve high-tonnage, fast-settling concentrates. Ceramic vacuum filters suit concentrate polishing with low energy use. Belt vacuum filters handle coarser, free-draining materials. Filter presses and vertical presses achieve very low cake moisture on fine tailings, while the belt sludge dewaterer tackles fibrous or slimy residuals.

What decides the selection
Begin with particle size and filterability testwork to narrow machine type, then confirm feed density, throughput, and pressure differential against manufacturer sizing charts. Target cake moisture and wash requirements further differentiate press versus vacuum technologies. Because capacity is slurry-specific, pilot filtration trials are the only reliable basis for a performance guarantee.
