Drying and Pelletizing Equipment
Drum Granulator
The drum granulator agglomerates fine, moist mineral feeds into green pellets suitable for downstream hardening. It sits after filtration and binder mixing, and before drying or induration. A rotating cylinder tumbles the material, forming near-spherical pellets that exit for further processing.
Technical parameters
Rotational speed, inclination, and cylinder volume are adjusted to control pellet size and residence time. The machine handles a range of ore types and moisture contents.
The model table lists eleven sizes by cylinder volume, speed, inclination, and motor power. Larger volumes provide longer residence time and higher capacity. Speed and inclination jointly influence tumbling intensity and pellet transport. Choose a model based on required throughput and desired pellet size distribution.
| Model | Volume (m3) | Speed (r/min) | Inclination (%) | Motor Power (kW) |

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before selecting a model, define the feed material, its particle size distribution, moisture content, and the target green pellet size range. Binder type and dosage affect agglomeration behaviour. Also confirm the downstream process requirements, such as drying temperature and induration method, as these influence pellet quality needs.
