Filtration Equipment
Disc Vacuum Filter
Xinhai’s disc vacuum filter dewaters thickened slurry after the thickener. Rotating discs with filter cloths form cake under vacuum and discharge it mechanically.
Technical parameters
It suits free-filtering materials like iron ore or phosphate concentrates. Compared to a belt filter, it packs more filter area in a given footprint. When slurry is extremely fine or sticky, a ceramic filter often performs better.
The model table lists filter disc diameter, total filtering area, and number of discs. The code, e.g. ZPG3-1, indicates disc diameter and count. As filtering area grows, main shaft motor power increases to handle the torque. Selection requires aligning the required solids throughput and targeted cake moisture with the available filtration areas.

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.
What decides the selection
Before choosing a model, the buyer must characterise the slurry: particle size distribution, solids concentration, and filtration rate. Because the same filter model can produce widely different throughputs and cake moistures on different slurries, a filtration test on the specific ore is essential. The test results, combined with the required daily solids output, direct the selection of disc diameter and number of discs.
