Pinch Valve

Xinhai pinch valves provide shut-off and throttling control for abrasive slurries in mining circuits. A flexible elastomer sleeve is compressed by a mechanical clamp or pneumatic pressure, creating a full-bore, straight-through flow path when open.

These valves are commonly installed in tailings lines, cyclone feed circuits, flotation plant piping, and other slurry transport systems where particle-laden fluids would quickly wear metal-seated valves.

What decides the selection

Before selecting a pinch valve, define the slurry characteristics: particle size distribution, solids concentration, pH, and temperature. Confirm line pressure, required Cv, and whether on-off, throttling, or isolation service is needed. The sleeve material must be compatible with the slurry chemistry to avoid premature degradation.
