Impact Crusher

The Xinhai impact crusher reduces run-of-mine or intermediate rock using high-speed rotor-driven blow bars that strike material against impact aprons. It is most often installed after a primary jaw or gyratory crusher to produce a cubical product for further grinding or screening.

Technical parameters

In a flowsheet, the machine sits downstream of a primary breaker and ahead of screening or grinding circuits. Its high reduction ratio often eliminates a stage compared with compression crushers, simplifying plant layout.

The model table shows nine sizes across a range of rotor diameters and widths. Model codes such as PF-1000×700 indicate rotor dimensions in millimetres. Larger rotors accept coarser feed and deliver higher throughput, but the final figures shift with rock hardness, moisture, and feed gradation.

Parameter boundary

Standard-model catalogue figures. Actual capacity, power draw and wear life shift with ore properties, feed gradation and circuit conditions. Use them to shortlist, then confirm the duty by testwork, flowsheet calculation and a written confirmation from the manufacturer.

What decides the selection

Before locking in a model, define the ore’s uniaxial compressive strength, silica content, and moisture level. Specify maximum feed size and the target product P80. Confirm whether the circuit is open or closed, as this changes the required reduction ratio and wear patterns. A laboratory crush test on representative samples reduces selection risk.

  • Maximum run-of-mine feed size
  • Ore hardness and abrasiveness
  • Moisture and clay content
  • Target closed-side setting
  • Required throughput per hour
  • Open-circuit or closed-circuit configuration
  • Wear part life and maintenance access
