Technical parameters

The upright ring design exposes the pulp to repeated magnetic wash cycles, producing a clean magnetic concentrate and a non-magnetic tailings in one pass. This suits ores where fine liberation is essential.

The model table lists units primarily scaled by the outer diameter of the rotating ring. Larger rings provide greater slurry contact area and treatment capacity. Magnetic field strength and excitation power increase with ring size, allowing operators to match the separator to the required throughput and mineral magnetic susceptibility.

What decides the selection

Selecting a model requires knowing the size fraction, slurry density and the specific magnetic susceptibility of the target mineral. Testwork on a representative sample determines the necessary background field strength and the ring diameter needed for the duty. The presence of strongly magnetic tramp iron may require pre-treatment to avoid matrix clogging.
